Our Charlottesville Hotel with Arboretum

Stroll our arboretum and botanical gardens

Behind Kimpton The Forum Hotel, a verdant world unfolds before your eyes. An arboretum and botanical gardens feature five acres of lush greenery, including a collection of walking trails, a tranquil pond and several gathering places, such as an outdoor amphitheater and event lawn. Eclectic flora are separated into distinctly curated gardens representing various regions around the world. (Keep an eye out for multiple species of magnolias and crabapples, and a Japanese garden featuring maples, camellias and snowbell.) The arboretum extends to the Rivanna Trail, a so-called urban wilderness hiking trail that winds its way through Charlottesville. Created to encourage mindfulness, wellness and reflection, the arboretum honors Thomas Jefferson’s profound interest in the natural world.
